What do we hope to achieve?
We hope to help alleviate and bring light to the discrepancies in the representation of minorities and certain racial populations throughout the ballet community.
The issue.
According to the Zippia:
The most common ethnicity among ballet company members is White, which makes up 49.6% of all ballet company members.
Comparatively, 26.0% of ballet company members are Hispanic or Latino, 9.1% are Asian, 3.8% are Black or African American, 0.9% are Native American, while the last 10.6% are Unknown.
