What do we hope to achieve?
We hope to bring light to the discrepancies in the representation of women in leadership and choreographic roles throughout the ballet community, as well as highlight leading females figures in the dance world, in order to inspire the next generation.
The issue.
According to the Dance Data Project®:
Out of the top 179 ballet companies worldwide, women only make up 33% of the Artistic Directors.
Only 20% of ballets have been choreographed by women.
